Cambodian Translation of General Conference to be Broadcast Across the World

In a translation room in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a draft copy of the prepared speech is received  from Salt Lake City Utah, to be read over and translated, in preparation for the live broadcast.  The staff will translate the content into Khmer.  The Language Supervisor will then assign designated talks to individual menbers of the staff.  There are 15 assigned to interpret, including 3 full time staff members.  The interpreters become familiar with the text, by practicing and keeping it within the time frame allotted to the Conference speakers and those conducting. When it is time to go live, they are ready to deliver the final version in Khmer.  The interpreters stay up through the night for their translation to be delivered in Khmer live from Salt Lake City and across the world as others listen in their respective time zones.  Additional Worldwide Devotionals are similarly broadcast during the year.

You can listen to this Worldwide Conference through a variety of media and at local meetinghouses around the globe.
