Historic Visit  to LDS Chapel in Phnom Penh by CHUM Bun Rong, Cambodia's Ambassador to United States & Mexico

Cambodian members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were honored when a request was announced by the staff of Cambodia's Ambassador to the United States & Mexico, Mr. CHUM Bun Rong, for a short visit and tour of one of the LDS chapels in Phnom Penh.  Arrangements were completed with great anticipation for this historical visit.

This year focus on the Principles of Peace from the Prince of Peace.

"We want the world to know that peace can come to all who earnestly seek the Prince of Peace,” said President Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “His is the sweet and saving message we take throughout the world — ‘my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’”

Four New Temples Announced by President Monson

Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced plans to build four new temples located in Harare, Zimbabwe; Quito, Ecuador; Belém, Brazil; and Lima, Peru (the Church’s second temple in that city).
